A class on bibliotherapy and how reading for pleasure improves our overall health and wellbeing.  Participants have an opportunity to engage in a shared reading circle where a short story is read aloud and invited to share immediate thoughts and reflections stimulated by the text.

Shared Reading Circle at SPAN Community House, 64 Clyde St, Thornbury

Every Tuesday for 7 weeks

An informal and nurturing read-aloud group where we partake in 'slow reading' of classic short stories, plays and poems.  The words on the page evoke immediate reflections, ideas, even magnificent ponderings, and members are invited to share these with the group. A meditative and cognitively stimulating experience which enhances self-awareness.  A beautiful way to connect meaningfully with others thereby increasing your overall wellbeing.
